Hello, my name is Luciana. I am an international nurse midwife from Brazil and Birth and Postpartum Doula in Vancouver. My first experience with childbirth was during my graduation as a nurse. It was very special, passionate and transformative, which led me to delve deeper and specialize in the world of labor and birth. I completed a residency in obstetrics with a focus on a humanized approach.

At that time, for two years, I accumulated more than 5,000 hours of training in the obstetric area, following essential moments of the families' journey, from preconception planning, through prenatal, childbirth and postpartum, to breastfeeding and care for newborns. In addition, I also had the possibility to work in a neonatal ICU and home births during part of this period.

I had the privilege of participating in hundreds of births, witnessing the first meeting between parents and babies and experiencing the birth of families - moments that I sought to make as respectful and special as possible. It was this experience that confirmed my great passion: supporting and welcoming families in this very transformative period.

Being able to be present and give support at this time is a privilege. Each birth, in its own way, leaves a mark on everyone present there and I carry these memories with me, maintaining relationships with several families until this day.

Three and a half years ago, I moved to Vancouver and, despite not being able to practice my profession as an obstetric nurse here, I continued my purpose by helping families in the transition and adaptation to the arrival of a newborn at home and caring for babies and toddlers, first working as a nanny and now as a Doula.

With my knowledge and experience, my goal is to provide welcoming and informed support, helping to create respectful and loving birth experiences. I am here to walk alongside families, offering emotional, physical, informative and practical support, so that this moment is lived with confidence and serenity.
